Drying is a heat and mass balance

The supplied energy heats the product and evaporates water; air carries this moisture out of the process. Temperature alone does not determine capacity: flow rate and humidity determine how much water vapor the air can absorb.

Insufficient exhaust limits the removal of moisture, while excessive exhaust can discard useful energy and pull cold air into the system.

Uniformity matters as much as power

Irregular air distribution creates areas with different behaviors, impairing quality and leading the operation to compensate for the worst point. Nozzles, air boxes, seals and pressures should work as a set.

Reliable instrumentation enables recipe adjustments for different products and speeds without relying solely on operator experience.

A diagnosis combines balance, cross-sectional profile, mechanical condition and control logic. Actions may involve sealing, balancing, insulation, heat recovery or modernization of equipment.
